We are moving. Moving forward. Moving ahead. Moving.

Because the only constant in life is change.

My career as a consultant consists of facilitation, navigation, and change. I’ve gone so far as to make change fun. But as I advanced toward my 30th year of consulting, I realized that when it came to my website, I was like the cobbler whose children had no shoes.

www.changeisfun.com has been online since “301 Ways to Have Fun at Work” was first published in 1997. That’s going on twenty years! Clearly, my website had not changed to keep up with the changes in my life and my work.

So my colleague and editor and I began the process of creating a new website that would accurately capture the essence of my work. As we did, we realized the nature of my business also has seen a lot of change.

In 1997, Catalyst Consulting was a brand that was unique to me; today there are more than 4000 business entities online with the Catalyst name. The name Catalyst Consulting Group was no longer unique. But what is still unique today, is my name. So we decided to rebrand me and my website to my uniqueness.

The change in the look of the site is dynamic. We think it’s clean, easy to read, and easy to navigate. What hasn’t changed (and won’t change!) are the relationships between you and me. Those relationships have enriched my life.

It’s been a great journey so far, but it’s certainly not close to being over. On my horizon are new books. And new lessons to share. When it comes to evolving, we are never done. The constant, of course, is constant change.

But you can be sure and comforted that in the face of change, I am still the same girl. And I’m ready to advance back into the world with a new website that redefines me. It’s a site that is filled not only with achievements and experiences, but with the promise of more to come. We hope it will be a place for you to join us in following the course of change, to gather some new ideas, and hopefully share your insights into our common world.

A friend of mine once said he thought of me as a porcelain vase. Porcelain, he said, requires firing in the highest heat to make it strong and shiny. And that’s my life. I have embraced all the lessons, even the ones that are difficult. And they have made me strong and shiny. Like my new website. So, stop in at www.leslieyerkes.com and say hi.

And move forward with us.
